Hypertension 2027

Join your peers and a world-leading set of MGB experts for Hypertension 2027, a transformative, full-day CPD/CME program.

Hypertension management is evolving rapidly. Is your practice keeping pace?  This in-person symposium will provide cutting edge updates and a comprehensive, high-yield curriculum tailored for all providers who care for patients with high blood pressure — specialists and PCPs alike. Move beyond the basics as we explore and discuss strategies for navigating advanced and complex Hypertension cases.  Learn about the latest pharmacotherapies and novel agents, plus innovative technical solutions like renal denervation.  You will leave equipped with the knowledge to make immediate changes in your practice. Expect a day packed with actionable insights that will elevate your practice and sharpen your clinical decision-making, imparting the tools needed to manage even the most challenging cases of hypertension.

Target audience

This activity is intended for all primary care providers including MDs, NPs, PAs, and pharmacists. Hypertension affects one in two adults, so all providers who care for adults treat hypertension every day.  It is also targeted to specialists who manage patients with hypertension, including nephrologists, cardiologists, and endocrinologists.

Learning objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  1. Identify the nearly universal blood pressure target and justify the imperative for achieving this goal in diverse patient cohorts.
  2. Optimize patient-centered lifestyle interventions that translate clinical recommendations into sustainable, effective, and actionable daily therapies.
  3. Analyze the 2025 AHA/ACC Hypertension guidelines, specifically evaluating critical updates and shifts in clinical practice paradigms since 2017.
  4. Evaluate first-line antihypertensive agents for comparative efficacy, safety profiles, and clinical selection criteria.
  5. Formulate comprehensive management strategies for patients with treatment-resistant hypertension.
  6. Customize therapeutic approaches for special populations, including complex cases involving diabetes, older patients, and pregnancy.
  7. Optimize the diagnostic and management pathway for primary aldosteronism, with a focus on high-yield screening and targeted intervention.
  8. Synthesize the potential clinical impact of emerging pharmacologic agents, including aldosterone synthase inhibitors and small interfering RNA (siRNA) therapies.
  9. Critically assess the role of renal denervation in hypertension management, applying evidence-based selection criteria to identify optimal candidates.

Maintenance of Certification (MOC)

American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) MOC Recognition Statement
Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to 6.5 MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine’s (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. It is the CME activity provider’s responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit.
