The Office of Continuing Professional Development provides individual and team-oriented, evidence-based education. Our activities are designed to improve clinical practice, clinical decision-making, quality patient outcomes and safety, and to advance professional development.

Disseminating Mass General Brigham expertise globally.
We support educational interventions for health care teams and individual providers throughout the United States and around the globe. Our courses feature primary source subject matter experts from our Harvard Medical School-affiliated hospitals, other top tier academic medical centers, and experienced clinicians and researchers. Course directors and faculty work in a range of community based, long-term care, and rehabilitative settings. Our priorities are to foster both uni-professional and interprofessional education to improve patient care.
Alumni
The Office of Continuing Professional Development is collaborating with the Mass General Brigham Alumni Association to offer educational opportunities to alumni of Mass General Brigham training programs.

Midlife Women’s Health 2025 provides a multi-disciplinary approach to the care of menopausal women. Advances in research, technology, and pharmacology increase options available for midlife women, but this rapidly changing knowledge-base presents a challenge for clinicians. Care for women at this stage of life is optimized by education on a range of medical concerns provided by experts from a wide variety of medical specialties.
Neurology for the Non-Neurologist
June 9, 2025 – June 12, 2025
Neurology for the Non-Neurologist is a comprehensive live lecture series that will provide attendees with the opportunity to improve knowledge, competence, and performance in the major sub-specialty areas of modern clinical neurology. The activity will incorporate presentations, Q&A, multiple-choice questions, and opportunities for the learners to interact with experts in the field. The course will provide updates on the rapidly changing field of clinical neurology.

Our team will apply their expertise to help you with the planning and implementation of your educational activity. As a jointly accredited provider, we can offer CME/CE credits for 10 health care professions. Our services support course organizers every step of the way, from planning to completion. We provide credit for a range of courses from small departmental trainings to large, multi-day conferences with global reach.

Joint accreditation
As a jointly accredited provider, we can award credits for the following professions: physicians, nurses, pharmacists, athletic trainers, dentists, dieticians, optometrists, physician assistants, psychologists, and social workers. We can also provide participation certificates for other health professionals.

Maintenance of certification
Mass General Brigham Continuing Professional Development is the system-wide sponsor for the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) Portfolio Program. We help Mass General Brigham-affiliated physicians and physician assistants fulfill ABMS Maintenance of Certification (ABMS MOC®) Improvement in Medical Practice (Part IV) requirements. Our goal is for you to receive credit for work you are already doing that is meaningful to you.
